The foundation

A fully Rust daemon.

Taichu’s daemon is written entirely in Rust. It runs sessions and tools within your permissions, with task workflows for checking results and recovering interrupted work.

Your choice of models.

Choose among your connected cloud or local models and set reasoning effort where supported. Planned optional Auto routing will compare eligible models for each task by quality, cost and available capacity, while keeping your pinned choices.

When you choose GWC-managed models, usage is paid from USD Balance: top-ups start at $5, with a 15% service fee.

Can I use my own provider access?

Yes. GWC Personal includes GWC Bridge, provider API keys, supported account sign-in and local models on your own PC. Every new user starts with a free trial.

Is a Connect Pass the same as AI credit?

No. GWC Personal includes GWC Bridge, own-provider access, supported account sign-in, local models and remote access. Own-provider usage is billed by that provider; USD Balance is used only for GWC-managed model usage. No subscription includes monthly AI usage.

What powers Taichu?

The Taichu daemon is written entirely in Rust. Work with Taichu in GWC Studio, our core desktop app, or use GWC for VS Code in your existing editor. See the download page for desktop and mobile releases. GWC Studio
